Currently, four undersea cable routes that Vietnamese carriers exploit, including AAG, APG, AAE-1, and IA are experiencing issues, seriously affecting internet connection traffic from Viet Nam.
The Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel) officially announced the ADC (Asia Direct Cable) international undersea cable route to land in Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province on Tuesday.
The Asia-America Gateway (AAG) undersea cable was fully repaired by
2.20am on May 12, restoring full Internet services between Viet Nam and
other countries.
The broken Asia-America Gateway (AAG) undersea cable will be completely
repaired by July 30, restoring full Internet connectivity between Viet
Nam and other countries.
The Asia-America Gateway (AAG) undersea cable will be repaired from
February 25 to March 3, according to Vietnam Posts and
Telecommunications Group (VNPT).
Internet capacity between Viet Nam and other countries was restored on
January 5 following the repair of the Asia-American Gateway (AAG)
undersea cable earlier that day.
It will take at least a week to repair the broken Asia-America Gateway
(AAG) undersea cable which connects Viet Nam with other countries for
Internet access.
A ceremony on Phu Quoc Island in southern Kien Giang province yesterday
inaugurated the installation of a 110kV undersea-cable system linking
the island to the national power grid.
